Amazing color, horrible stains and bleeding "PROS: Beautiful, lasting, multi dimensional color. I love the teal-blue parts I actually got out of it, both darker and lighter shades. As with many MP colors, it's nowhere close to the color on the bottle, but it's still beautiful. It's extremely long-lasting and vivid, takes forever to wash out, as you'll see mentioned below. . . . CONS: You need to have a PERFECT, near platinum bleach job for it to take properly. I used not 1, but 2 ultra powerful bleach kits (also MP), got most of my hair to a very pale blond, which I thought would be enough. If your hair is even slightly uneven, it will end up a bizarre shade of green-brown. That wasn't the biggest issue for me. It will stain EVERYTHING. Your skin, your sheets, furniture, glasses and jewelry, everything. The shower and towels will have to be bleached to get out all the blue dye. You can wash your hair for hours and the water will NEVER run clear. Mind you, I have very thick, coarse hair, and a lot of it - I wasn't even sure if one bottle would be enough. It's been weeks since I dyed my hair using this, and if I even touch my hair to move it, my fingers come away blue. Just insane." — KE (2/5)
Look no further, blue friends! "I've been a dyehard since childhood and I'm now 40. My hair has been some form of manic panic blue since 1999 (25+ years) Out of all the blues I tried before Manic Panic, none had lasting power and the fade-ability like Manic Panic. TBH. . . . I don't want to put a ton of effort into my hair so having it fade to a beautiful color is important to me. Once they came out with Voodoo Blue??? that was it. Trademark shade activate! Since first use, I have kept this color and will continue to keep this color until the day I die. This stuff is AMAZING. I'm here to restock for the year, which I do every holiday sale ;) Save yourself the money and time and disappointment. Try voodoo blue by Manic Panic if you're seeking a luscious teal! I uploaded a bunch of photos with varying shades throughout the decade so you can get an idea of what it looks like in all stages--faded, fresh, and everywhere in-between." — Cole (5/5)
Ruined my fiancé’s hair "I put this dye on bleach blonde hair. Tone to basically be white. It came out as a sickly blue/ green color. Not cyan. It looked like if I had dyed the hair deep blue- five months ago. Normally I love manic panic. Like their pinks and reds are gorgeous and I had a wonderful experience with those. But I was so embarrassed to talk this brand up to my partner only to ruin their hair. Will not buy from here again." — Marshall (1/5)
