Recipe is not the same "I have been using hot hot pink since I was about 15 years old. I am now 38 and still like to use it from time to time. There is definitely a change in the recipe of the product. Pigment is not the same. The texture is not the same. The color lasts only a few washes now. Highly disappointed as a long time user of manic panic. I attached photos - you can clearly see the difference in color even the consistency of the product. It’s more like a colored conditioner now. Not sure I will buy again. I’ll have to get my OG off eBay if I choose to do so. I added a pink before and a pink after as well- the pink and purple was the old recipe- and Disney photo is the new one. Not even close. Turned purple "I got the hair colour as a gift from a friend, as I had wished for it. But when I applied it it turned more purple than pink, even in sunlight is it more purple. Even so it is a nice colour but not what I wanted." — Faierie (3/5)
Right bottle, wrong color? "I recently made a review about purchasing “hot hot pink” online, from the manic panic website. When I received it, it was not the correct color. Even though the name on the bottle was correct. Nevertheless, I figured I would give it the benefit of the doubt and apply it to my hair anyways. It didn’t do anything. My hair looked just as faded as it was before I even applied it. In the image attached, the bottle on the left is the one I received through the mail. I went to sally beauty today to purchase the correct one. In the image it is pictured on the right. I love manic panic and will still continue to use their products. However this is very disappointing because I purchased 2 bottles originally and it wasn’t what I expected to be :/ I also can’t even use those because it’s too light for my hair :/" — kaitlyn b. "I have been using this color since July now. I don’t normally buy it online, but due to circumstances I had to buy it online. Everything was correct as I received it. The only thing that was different was the actual color in the jar. For some reason it was a lighter almost cotton candy pink vs the hot hot pink i’m use to. Also, I noted that the consistency itself when I applied it was like soapy? Im not sure what happened… But even after the application, wash, and dry, it didn’t turn out as bright pink as i’m otherwise use to. It almost looks as faded as it did before i started the application. Dye spilled "The dye had spilled in the box that it came in so when I opened it my hands got stained pink a little bit. I wish the dye was shipped here a little neater. Also the hair dye worked perfectly." — Deja R. (4/5)
