SUZY HOTROD and MANIC PANIC NYC... a winning team!

2006 DUST DEVIL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP From February 24–26, 2006, Tucson, AZ was overrun by ferocious and dedicated amateur rollergirls from across the nation. Tucson Roller Derby hosted sister leagues from around the country while these do-it-yourself, flat-track skaters competed in a ground-breaking tournament to determine the nation's first-ever Dust Devil national champion team. Teams representing leagues from all over the country competed for three days against the best in their respective divisions, with each team determined to take home the national title of 2006 Dust Devil Champion. Nearly twenty flat-track leagues participated: Arizona Roller Derby, Atlanta Rollergirls, B.ay A.rea D.erby Girls, Carolina Rollergirls, Dallas Derby Devils, Duke City Derby, Houston Roller Derby, Kansas City Roller Warriors, Mad Rollin’ Dolls, Minnesota Rollergirls, Providence Roller Derby, Rat City Rollergirls, Rose City Rollers, Sin City, Texas Rollergirls, Tucson Roller Derby, Windy City Rollers. She's a punk rock queen as well as a roller derby queen...she is the MANIC PANIC Amplified Hair Color Poster child...she's the one-and-only Suzy Hotrod. Suzy is captain of her team Queens of Pain in the Gotham Girls Roller Derby and has been recognized as winner of these 2006 season awards: Queens MVP, Best Fight, Voted Most Likely to Kick Your Ass (seriously!) She was also nominated for League MVP, and Most Feared. She will be a strong force leading the Gotham Girls Travel Team in this tournament. In addition to being a great skater, Suzy is involved in the local punk rock scene as the guitar player and song writer for her all girl punk rock band Lady Unluck. Suzy will be wearing MANIC PANIC NYC on her uniform in Tucson, as well as MANIC PANIC hair color and cosmetics.
